Not all innovation is about creating something completely new. Often, it’s about finding a better way to use something that’s already part of how we work.
At RJW Digital, we’ve always been curious about how technology can improve everyday tools and processes. One simple example we’ve adopted recently is the business card.
Most people are familiar with business cards. They’ve been a standard part of networking for decades. But in a world where so much of our communication is digital, the traditional printed card can feel a little outdated.
That’s why we decided to try the NFC Business Card from V1CE, and it’s quickly become one of our favourite tools. Instead of printing and carrying stacks of paper cards, we now use a single, reusable card that shares our digital profile with a quick tap. It’s simple, clean, and surprisingly effective.
We’ve used the card at meetings, events and casual introductions, and the response has always been positive. It creates a moment of interest, and more importantly, it makes it easier for people to save and access our details. No lost cards, no follow-up emails asking for contact info. Just a smooth interaction that works.
What we like most is how this small shift has made something old feel new again. The idea behind a business card hasn’t changed, but the delivery has. And it’s made a real difference to how we connect with people.
It’s a reminder that innovation doesn’t always mean reinventing the wheel. Sometimes, it’s about improving something that already works, and making it work better.
We’ll continue exploring tools like this that bring practical benefits to the way we operate. If it helps us make stronger connections and keeps things running smoothly, it’s worth the switch.
